I want to highlight the “Top Upcoming Events” category at the bottom of the page this week. Lots of great things hitting the startup calendar after Labor Day.
NOLA’s leading studios are continuing to crank out interesting products. Calliope Digital’s Hurricane Tracker is climbing the charts in the iTunes app store and Touch Studios just released a new time tracking app called Finch in the Mac app store.

Show Me the Money: Getting Approved for Loans – Lunch ‘n Learn
When: Wednesday, August 24 at noon
Where: Launch Pad
Learn what makes you and your business an IDEAL candidate for financial assistance from ACCION a company that supports local Louisiana businesses with loans. This event is part of Launch Pad’s free monthly Lunch & Learn program. Lunch will be provided by our teacher, Lindsey Navarro, and will be homemade Arroz con Pollo-a Pananamian version of our local favorite, Jambalaya!
Louisiana Entrepreneurship Day: Featuring Mike DeLazzer- Founding Member and Creative Mind Behind Redbox
When: Thursday, August 25 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM (CT)
Where: Cotillion Ballroom – LSU Student Union Raphael Semmes Rd. Baton Rouge, LA 70803
Please join Entrepreneurs’ Organization in partnership with the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute to celebrate Louisiana Entrepreneurship on August 25th. The event will be held from 4:30pm- 6:30pm in the Cotillion Ballroom at the LSU Student Union. Mike DeLazzer founding member and creative mind behind Redbox will be our guest speaker. A small reception will be held afterward.
